Ed Sheeran might have filmed a cameo in the biggest show on TV, but he doesn't seem all that bothered by it.

Back in March, it was confirmed that Ed would appear in season seven of Game of Thrones, with it later being revealed that his scene sees him singing to Arya Stark (Maisie Williams).

He's now expanded a bit on what we can expect and, basically, he wants us to keep our expectations low.

"I haven't seen it yet. I just know the scene I did with Maisie, and it's decent. I like it. Nothing exciting happens in this scene, we just have a conversation and that's kind of it," Ed told Entertainment Tonight.

So, this probably means that his musical cameo won't be a 'Rains of Castamere' moment…

Ed even thinks it's all been built up "too much", adding: "People will just be like, 'Oh... oh, all right'. It's not an integral part of it, at all. I'm just, like, in it."

And what was it like to film Game of Thrones? "It was cold."

Thanks for that, Ed.

At least he got to meet Kit Harington in the toilet when he was on set... and apparently also checked out his penis.

Game of Thrones returns to HBO in the US on 16 July, simulcast on Sky Atlantic in the UK during the early hours of 17 July.
