A local BBC news channel was forced to apologise after a live interview was overshadowed by a swearing street performer.

BBC East Midlands cut its report on a police crackdown on street drinkers and beggars in Leicester when a man in the background could be heard shouting "f**k off" at another passer-by.

Back in the studio, the BBC anchor said: "Apologies again for any bad language you may have heard in that live report from Leicester."

That just about gives us the excuse to remember this BBC interview that didn't exactly go as planned, either.

Back in March, a live BBC World News interview about politics in the Far East went viral after the guest speaker's two children burst into his office.
