As well as the golden age of television, it's also the era of the franchise and same-universe crossovers, so it only makes sense that Black Mirror's much-anticipated fourth season may include sequels to past episodes.

Now that sounds exciting.

Despite moving from Channel 4 to its new home of Netflix for the third season, series creator Charlie Brooker has teased the sequels could link back to any of the show's entire 13-episode back catalogue.

In fact, it's looking more likely that we'll see a sequel to season 2 episode 'White Bear', in which amnesiac Victoria Skillane (Lenora Crichlow) tries to put an end to a sadistic regime, only to discover the world's a little different to how she remembers.

"We've had ideas for sequels as well, which is something we haven't entirely explored," Brooker told Variety.

"I wouldn't be averse to it. We've got a couple ideas in mind, but we're sort of thinking about, practically, how we could do that and when the right time to do that would be.

"So potentially. But then in a Darwinian way, a new idea pops up and that wins the knife fight for the slot."
