Warning: this article contains spoilers for Game of Thrones season 7, episode 3.

Following episode three's much-anticipated meeting between Ice and Fire as Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) finally met, the stage has been set for a shaky truce between the pair – which may just be what's needed with Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) fighting to re-establish control of Westeros.

And it certainly looks like episode four, 'The Spoils of War', is going to live up to a lot of our expectations, going by HBO's first trailer for it below:

The teaser is brought in by a typically sullen-sounding Cersei, who says to Tycho Nestoris: "My only venture at this moment is re-establishing control over this continent and every person on it."

We are then drawn into a jumping sequence of scenes where Dany further entertains her guest from the north, Jon Snow, as they presumably look for the dragonglass that she promised him in the latest episode.

Also glimpsed at are Sansa looking pensive at the actions facing her, as well as Dany admitting that "all [her] allies are gone" and exclaiming "enough with the clever plans", while dragons then soar menacingly overhead.
