Euron Greyjoy doesn't just divide fleets, he divides opinions – and that's what arguably makes him one of the best villains Game of Thrones has had in a long time.

Either way, he splits viewers, and you know what often happens to opinion-dividing villains on very popular television shows?

Well, they stick around for a little bit – probably longer than intended – and then they're offed in a way so gruesome and dramatic that we're glad we stuck up with the displeasure of their company just to see them meet the iron arm of swift justice.

And things are looking pretty good for Euron right now. He's just taken back his missing fleet after Theon and Yara mutinied against the Iron Islands and nicked it to help Daenerys reclaim the Iron Throne.

He also has Yara and Ellaria Sand as prisoner, Theon bobbing along somewhere in the Westerosi ocean.

Nonetheless, we wouldn't get too comfortable, Euron fans, because actor Pilou Asbæk has teased that Euron will meet his end eventually – and when he does, it's "going to be spectacular."

Valar Morghulis, indeed.

"He knows his time is spare," Pilou told Variety.

"He knows he's going to die at one point. And if you ask me, it's probably going to be spectacular. I hope so. But right now, he's in for a ride."

But what of Euron's season seven #endgame? Well, Pilou has shared that as well, and it's got us impossibly excited about what that aforementioned gift for Cersei may be.

"Let's see what kind of gift he brings home to Cersei," he added. "And let's see what her answer is."
