So far, very few of Daenerys's strategies for conquering Westeros have gone particularly well. Half her fleet was killed in a surprise attack from Euron Greyjoy. And her strategy to take Casterly Rock was pretty much duped by Jaime. Following the council of Varys and Tyrion, she's decided not to storm King's Landing in an attack that would likely kill thousands of innocent people. Probably a good call!

But, the previews for Episode Four tease a frustrated Dany, fed up with all their shitty schemes that don't work. It seems like she's about to just say "fuck it" and go to war.

So, if she does decide to storm King's Landing, a very strategic conversation from Season One could be Cersei's downfall, as Reddit points out. In Episode Five, Cersei is talking to her then-husband Robert Baratheon about the possibility of Targaryens invading with a Dothraki horde:

Robert Baratheon: Let's say Viserys Targaryen lands with 40,000 Dothraki screamers at his back. We hole up in our castles. A wise move. Only a fool would meet the Dothraki in an open field. They leave us in our castles. They go from town to town, looting and burning, killing every man who can't hide behind a stone wall, stealing all our crops and livestock, enslaving all our women and children. How long do the people of the Seven Kingdoms stand behind their absentee king, their cowardly king hiding behind high walls? When do the people decide that Viserys Targaryen is the rightful monarch after all?

Cersei Lannister: We still outnumber them.

Robert Baratheon: Which is the bigger number, five or one?

Cersei Lannister: Five.

Robert Baratheon: [holds up his left fingers] Five...

Robert Baratheon: [clutches his right fist] ... one. One army, a real army, united behind one leader with one purpose. Our purpose died with the Mad King.

Now, Cersei's list of allies is growing thin. Even the Iron Bank is losing confidence in her. She's certainly a wise leader and agile tactician, but she's also reckless as hell and eager to crush her enemies. Will she remember this conversation? Certainly Robert's theory assumed a ruthlessness that Daenerys doesn't have, but if she gets desperate for her crown, it's entirely possible she changes her strategy. Keep in mind, Robert wasn't even taking into account three Targaryen dragons...
