Netflix has released the first trailer for Narcos season 3 and it seems even with Pablo Escobar dead the cocaine kings are still very much reigning.
DEA Agent Javier Peña (Pedro Pascal) is back taking on the Cali Kings aka Gentlemen of Cali who took over Pablo Escobar's spot as numero uno cocaine dealers.
This time Peña will face not one, but four drug kingpins, including some familiar faces. Gilberto Rodriguez Orejuela (Damian Alcazar), Pacho Herrera (Alberto Ammann), Chepe Santacruz Londono (Pepe Rapazote) and Miguel Rodriguez Orejuela (Francisco Denis) will head up the powerful quartet.
The new season will see Pena work with the American and Columbian law enforcement to help take down the remaining drug operations.
The show's plot synopsis explains: "Now that the bloody hunt for Pablo Escobar has ended, the DEA turns its attention to the richest drug trafficking organisation in the world: the Cali Cartel.
"Led by four powerful godfathers, this cartel operates much differently than Escobar's, preferring to bribe government officials and keep its violent actions out of the headlines."
Sadly there's no sign of Steve Murphy (Boyd Holbrook), however his real-life character moved away from the drug fighting life after the capture of Pablo Escobar.
Narcos season 3 lands on Netflix from 1 September.
