Warning: This article contains spoilers for Game of Thrones season 7 episode 5 'Eastwatch'.
Littlefinger is up to his old tricks again.
This week's Game of Thrones sees Arya Stark break into a suspicious Littlefinger's room. Inside, Arya finds a scroll – which it turns out was a letter Arya's sister Sansa had been coerced by Cersei Lannister to write all the way back in the first season.
Here's what the letter says:
"Robb, I write to you with a heavy heart. Our good king Robert is dead, killed from wounds he took in a boar hunt. Father has been charged with treason. He conspired with Robert's brothers against my beloved Joffrey and tried to steal his throne. The Lannisters are treating me very well and provide me with every comfort. I beg you: come to King's Landing, swear fealty to King Joffrey and prevent any strife between the great houses of Lannister and Stark."
If you need a refresher of the scene in question, watch the clip below – and yes, Littlefinger was there at the time.
Of course, Robb saw through Cersei's little plot and realised it wasn't Sansa who was saying those words.
But will Arya?
It seems clear that Littlefinger is trying to create tension between Arya and Sansa in his latest play for power. We'll see if this game of his is successful...
Game of Thrones airs on HBO in the US and on Sky Atlantic in the UK. Watch the trailer for episode 6 'Death Is the Enemy' below:
