Did you think Dany's quip in Episode Six that "he's too small" to a smirking Tyrion was totally sincere and not just high school denial of a crush? Do you think aunt-and-nephew incest, in a show where two main characters are siblings who fuck, would be a step too far? Does it matter that they don't know that Daenerys is Jon's actual aunt? Would it matter even if they did know, coming from a family in which incest was practiced for so many generations that their offspring were mostly insane?
Hell no!
They're gonna do it! They're definitely gonna do it. And it's SOOOOO obvious they're gonna do it. This has been clear the whole time. According to the director of the Season Seven finale, the aunt-and-nephew sex is forthcoming, and you're gonna have to just sit back and enjoy it. As Alan Taylor, who directed Episode Six, told The Daily Beast:
"There's no secret that this is where this is going. Readers of the book have known that things were heading towards this destination for a while. Even the characters in this story know it's heading in this direction. Tyrion is making fun of Dany about what's brewing. So we knew it's got to come at some point, and I was glad that I got to be there for a major step forward for them."
If you were to create a dating profile for Daenerys Targaryen, it would be something like:
Interested in: Very handsome, very brave, warrior lords.
Turn-ons include: Scars, confessions of loyalty.
Remember that scene when Jon was shirtless in the bed and they held hands and he told Dany he'd bend the knee?
"The fact that Jon's willing to now bend the knee to her as the next queen is a huge political step," Taylor said. "The fact that they are starting to fall for each other is huge."
