HBO has you covered during the seemingly-endless drought until Game of Thrones' eighth and final season arrives.

The US premium channel has launched a seven-part spin-off called The Game Revealed, in which viewers are taken behind the scenes to show how key moments from season seven came together.

While the series will be exclusive to HBO subscribers, the channel has dropped the full first episode on YouTube to entice you to reconsider cancelling your subscription now that Winter is here. Watch the premiere episode below:

In this first instalment, Maisie Williams and producers David Benioff and D. B. Weiss explore how Arya was able to take the face of Walder Frey and explain why that Ed Sheeran cameo ever happened at all.

"Ed Sheeran's got a beautiful voice and we knew he was a fan of the show," Benioff explained. "We knew that Maisie was obsessed with him, so we always thought it would be fun try to get him into a Maisie scene at some point."

Okay, if that shoehorned cameo made Maisie happy, we can stomach it. Elsewhere, Jaime Lannister actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau offers his thoughts on Queen Cersei's possible endgame.

The Game Revealed dropped only hours after Game of Thrones' season seven finale 'The Dragon and the Wolf' was watched by a record 16.5 million viewers on HBO in the US and UK fans in the early hours of Monday on Sky Atlantic.
