A Game of Thrones fan got more than she bargained for when she met Theon Greyjoy.
Viewers last saw the morally dubious but overall sympathetic character apologise for his Reek ways and then go all-out in order to go and save his sister Yara from the evil clutches of their uncle Euron, thanks to his literal lack of balls, in the show's season seven finale.
However, Instagram user Olivia Bowes appeared to have forgotten all about the all new no-nonsense Theon as she grabbed a picture with Alfie Allen – who plays Theon in the HBO fantasy saga – in Selfridges in London this week.
Posting the snap on social media after their meeting, Olivia captured the image: "Unlike Theon, I grew some balls and asked for a photo" next to the appropriate emojis.
Nonetheless, what fans weren't expecting was for Allen to come back faster than a White Walker's spear with an epic response in the comments section of the Instagram post.
"Actually, your mum asked for you," replied Allen, and he had fans on social media in stitches.
"Wow, it's like Olivia is the wall," said one commenter. "Alfie just come in like Viserion and...burn!"
And it looks like Theon had his balls the whole time (metaphorically speaking. Literally, they are gone).
