Sometimes it's easy to forget that Black Mirror isn't actually a reality series, and these latest rumours will make Charlie Brooker's dystopian world seem even more realistic.

In a good way, though, we promise.

We have a fourth instalment of the hit anthology series heading our way, we've even got a book or three to look forward to, so how about a game next?

Well, Charlie Brooker's not on board yet, but the head of game developer Telltale's creative communications, Job Stauffer, is.

Chatting to PC Gamer, Stauffer said that he is a "big fan" of Black Mirror and Charlie Brooker's work. (Aren't we all, Job?)

"[It's] a phenomenal, phenomenal series. It's a mind-blowing anthology with every season," he added.

So what better way to marry your hobbies with your job than suggest a collaboration? A collaboration which we would totally be down for, by the way.

"This is my personal take, please don't confuse this with something that we're actually doing, but Charlie, if you're out there, we would, I would, love to do something on Black Mirror," he said.

And now that we know all of Black Mirror is definitely set within the same universe, we reckon a game would slot into that quite nicely.

When asked about the show's shared universe, Brooker recently conceded: "It always used to be that it's just a bit of fun. But then sometimes we've done some things where we did explicitly refer to other episodes.

"I think the rule is that when a character says something that explicitly refers to something else, it's canonical. Also, they follow the same dream universe."

Black Mirror is available to stream on Netflix. Its fourth series will be available later in 2017.
