Peaky Blinders isn't even back for series four yet, and already we have some casting for the fifth series – so prepare for some spoilers.

Aidan Gillen, aka Littlefinger from Game of Thrones, has been confirmed for series five by Empire magazine.

Gillen is joining the show in the upcoming series as Aberama Gold, a hard-nut gypsy who is said to be an 'uneasy' ally of Cillian Murphy's Tommy Shelby.

The publication states that both Aberama Gold and his son, Bonnie the champion boxer, will be making appearances until the end of the fifth run.

Series four will also see the debut of Predators and The Grand Budapest Hotel star Adrien Brody in a part written especially for him, a character described as the biggest threat yet to the Shelby clan.

Returning cast members include Helen McRory, Alexander Siddig, Joe Cole, Sophie Rundle, Paul Anderson and, of course, Tom Hardy.

We don't know when Peaky Blinders will return, except that it will be "soon" (hopefully before the end of 2017).

With series five shooting back-to-back with the fourth, it wouldn't be too far out to speculate that it will air in 2018.
