From the opening pulse of the title card, the Stranger Things music has come to define Netflix's hit new series. The music has been called a character of its own—and probably the coolest one on the show, second only to sweet, beautiful Barb.

But now that the show is over—and we'll have to wait patiently for the sequel, as the creators are calling it—what are we to do? Yes, we can watch and re-watch, searching for all those glorious homages to the films of our glowing youths? But how can we immerse our lives into the nostalgic feeling of Stranger Things whilst not staring at a screen?

The soundtrack.

Yes, we can put in our earbuds, crank our car stereo and dive into a world of glittering vintage synthesizers and heart-racing beats. We can, while walking to work, while biking to school, just pretend we're with our friends searching for answers of a mystery in our small town.

And we can do so sooner than we originally had hoped. After announcing a standalone soundtrack last month, Netflix has announced that the first part of a two-part soundtrack created by S U R V I V E's Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein will be out digitally on Aug. 12. The second part will be released on Aug. 19.
