What if Chandler was actually a ghost? An alternative storyline has surfaced and it will make you question everything you thought you knew about Friends.

One mega-fan has pieced together the 'lost' episode called 'The one where Chandler dies.'

It begins with the oh-so-familiar opening where the gang piles onto a sofa in Central Park to the soundtrack of "I'll Be There For You" by The Rembrandts. However, before the sequence finishes, Chandler gets struck by an ice cream truck and dies.

The slick cut and paste of scenes from across the whole ten series re-imagine a show where Chandler is no more and the friends try to carry on without him. Understandably, Monica is the most distraught, turning to alcohol and drugs before shacking up with Joey, who Ross has replaced as his best friend.

Sitting on a La-Z-Boy in heaven, Chandler oversees his friends moving on with their lives and becomes irate. So, he returns to the Big Apple as a green ghost and haunts Monica, Ross, Rachel, Joey, and Phoebe. Chandler's ghostly existence also helps explain why his jokes, which were usually pretty funny, often went overlooked and ignored by the rest of the group.

Exhausted by the spirit of their lost friend, they decide to summon him back using Phoebe's dark art skills. Not only does he return but he brings a final twist with him: a box set of every Friends episode. The gang sits and watch as their lives play out on television before the ghost of Chandler has to return to his La-Z-Boy in heaven.

Bizarre? Yes. Brilliant? Undoubtedly.
