It's almost been a week since the United States of America voted Donald Trump as President-elect and... yeah. None of us saw that coming.

Well, that's not entirely true. The Simpsons saw it coming over 15 years ago, which provided a brief moment of humour for some of us amid all the other feelings.Now the official The Simpsons Twitter has reacted to the news with a short video, and it's kind of bittersweet.

On March 19, 2000, the episode 'Bart to the Future' aired, which showed President Lisa Simpson addresses her staff by saying "As you know, we've inherited quite a budget crunch from President Trump."

We wouldn't mind them being right about predicting President Lisa Simpson, but we're sure that won't ever happen.
