The only thing worse than getting crammed in a tiny seat next to horrible strangers with terrible expensive food is sitting there with nothing to do but think about your awful existence for the next few hours. Flying is horrible—made even more horrible by being disconnected from the Internet. Who is going to pay £10 per hour if your flight offers wi-fi access? Yes, memes are awesome, but they're not that awesome. Music is fine, so is reading, but only for so long. At some point the monotony of sitting and thinking becomes so overwhelming there's nothing better to do than stand up and scream horrible political bullshit at everyone sitting in the general vicinity.

Netflix knows this. And Netflix knows the only cure for hours of idle time is hours of time spent staring at BoJack Horseman or Stranger Things or Orange Is the New Black or Luke Cage or, for anyone who's truly desperate, Fuller House. The streaming service has now unveiled a new feature that allows users to download series for offline use. According to a press release:

Just click the download button on the details page for a film or TV series and you can watch it later without an internet connection... The new feature is included in all plans and available for phones and tablets on Android and iOS.

Orange Is the New Black, Narcos, and The Crown are available to download today with more content on the way, the press release says.

Your trip home Christmas just got slightly more bearable.
