Drake To Return To Acting For The Third Series Of Top Boy

Does this mean Drizzy is coming to East London?

Drake has long been a fan of Top Boy and now he is set to star in the next series alongside Skepta.

He snapped up the rights for the show last year after it was dropped from Channel 4 and now producers are saying he is in line for a significant role.

Speaking to The Mirror, Ashley said: "We are working out a role for him. He loves acting, of course he wanted a part. He's going to be really hands on and is getting stuck into it."

He said working with Drake came naturally: "He is such a down to earth, nice guy. He's so famous you would expect him to be this crazy character but he's actually quite boring, in a good way."

It's not the first time, Drake has dabbled with acting either - for six years he held down the role of Jimmy Brooks in Canadian soap Degrassi: The Next Generation.

The third series of Top Boy is set to appear on Netflix in 2018.
