If you were to name the person with whom a night out was most likely to end in chaos, it would probably be Liam Gallagher wouldn't it? Sweary, swaggering Mr Supersonic who doesn't so much look for trouble as gallop after it.
This is why, as you can imagine, when the former Oasis frontman recently described his night out with Steve Coogan, it didn't exactly end with a cup of tea.
Gallagher was speaking to Noisey for their British Masters series, in which the music site has spoken to icons including Johnny Marr, John Lydon and Dizzee Rascal. A quiet bunch then.
The clip begins with a strange impression of John McEnroe playing the guitar and ends up on a tangent about Steve Coogan and a night out the pair shared.
The story involves the Alan Partidge actor upstaging Liam by performing a Tom Jones hit in a bar to the adulation of some fans who'd been pestering Gallagher to belt out 'Wonderwall'. Of course a bender ensues, with the two waking up together in bed.
Gallagher concludes the tale by saying, "Seriously, I haven't f**king seen him since."
Looks like staying in touch is a repeated problem then.
