After securing the services of Scorsese and the brains behind Kick Ass and the Kingsman series, Netflix has thrown its billions at the Coen brothers to make an exclusive original series for the streaming platform.
Now's when you get excited.
In an official statement released today, it was announced that The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, a six-part anthology series set in the "American West" will land on Netflix in 2018, with the Coen's writing: "We are streaming motherfuckers!"
While Netflix hasn't released many details about the show yet, we do know that Tim Blake Nelson (O Brother, Where Art Thou?) will play title character Buster Scruggs and that each episode will focus on a different part of life in the Wild West, with the brothers writing and executive producing the show.
Despite the fact they seem to remove more great films than they add, Netflix is pouring money into original content, with David Fincher currently working on miniseries called Mindhunter and Ava DuVernay is working on her second exclusive project about 'The Central Park 5'.
