A New Amazon Documentary Is Set To Go All-Access Inside Manchester City

If only Balotelli was still there...

Multi-million (sometimes billion) pound enterprises stacked full of egos, intrigue and unrelenting pressure, the inner machinations of Premier League football clubs tend to be murky and secretive by nature, but Amazon are hoping to change that, with a new fly-on-the wall documentary series set to follow Manchester City across a whole season.

Having already seen great success with the format in All Or Nothing, an American football all-access show that follows a team from the first steps of pre-season all the way to much-desired glory (more like crushing failure), Amazon has chosen City as the first team to get the behind-the-scenes treatment.

According to Goal, Amazon's cameramen have already started filming around the club, while talks remain ongoing regarding how to proceed throughout the season.

So far details like the title and release date of the series remain unknown. In the meantime, if you're looking for a similar format for series, except that it's set in rural Alabama instead of Manchester and there's a big angry redneck as a coach instead of Pep Guardiola, then we highly recommend Last Chance U on Netflix.

Sorry, Amazon. We're sure yours will be brilliant, too.
