A few weeks ago, Cillian Murphy revealed at Esquire Townhouse that he was open to the idea of a Peaky Blinders movie.
Which is, we're sure you'll agree, good news.
But weeks before that, creator Steven Knight confirmed that he was planning to finish the series - and project as a whole - at season 5.
Which is, we're sure you'll agree, bad news.
Now finally, to round off this emotional rollercoaster we're all riding together, Cillian has spoken up about where he sees Peaky Blinders going after its next season.
Aaaaaaand… it's good news!
In an interview with Deadline, Murphy spoke about a prospective sixth season and film, saying: "Listen, you know Steve has so many ideas, he's so inventive, I wouldn't be surprised. For me, I've always said as long as the writing stays as good as it is, I'm around."
Steven Knight added: "We are also keeping our minds open as regards a movie and we are making progress on the musical. Peaky is now a beast that will not die."
While Murphy is interested in a big-screen gangster outing, he's not so keen on a musical version.
"In theory (the film), yeah absolutely if the writing is as good as it is for the show then for sure. But the musical? That's not for me, I'm going to pass on that one," he said.
