Somehow, there seems to have been a little confusion recently about what is appropriate to say about child actors.

After an executive at NBC tweeted that Stranger Things actor Millie Bobby Brown "just grew up in front of our eyes!" many were quick to point out that, errm, actually, she's still 13-years-old.

A similarly weird incident, with another star of the Netflix sci-fi show, occurred last week when 27-year-old model Ali Michael tagged Finn Wolfhard in an Instagram story which read, "Not to be weird but hit me up in 4 years @finnwolfhardofficial."

People were quick to point out that, especially given the ongoing sexual abuse revelations in Hollywood - but really at anytime - this was incredibly poor taste and creepy.

They also pointed out the seeming double standard as, had the post been from an older man and the subject an underage girl, it would have been treated very differently.

Michaels has since apologised and in a statement said that, "It was never my intention (nor has it ever been) to sexualise a minor in any way shape or form. To those I offended or misled, I apologise for a post made in haste and lacking in sensitivity, particularly considering the landscape of the present culture."

Speaking to TMZ Wolfhard called the incident "nuts" and "gross"

Earlier this week Sophie Turner, who first starred in Game Of Thrones at 14-year-old, launched into a string of tweets after seeing adults waiting outside the kids' hotel and shouting at them for not stopping for an autograph.

Everyone, remember. These are chiiiiiil-dreen.
