Is Game Of Thrones Character The Hound Alive?

Or is Rory McCann just paying his old friends a visit?

A little over a month ago, we predicted that The Hound would show up alive in season six.

Well, it turns out this could be true following the Watchers on the Wall's report that Rory McCann has been spotted near where Game of Thrones is currently being filmed in Belfast.

The beloved character – last seen close to death following a battle with Gwendoline Christie's Brienne of Tarth – was solidified as a fan favourite following his scenes with Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) in the HBO series' fourth season.

It was Arya who refused to kill The Hound – real name Sandor Clegane – despite his pleading her to do so.

Maybe there was a maester behind that rock after all.

Or perhaps Rory McCann was just having a holiday and we should all chill the hell out.

We'll find out when Game of Thrones' sixth season returns in April 2016.
