One pan salmon and egg bake

Salmon and eggs are the perfect breakfast combination. The fatty acids in the fish improve brain function and eggs are a great source of protein which have been proven to keep people fuller throughout the day. This delicious salmon and egg recipe from Goodful requires minimal preparation and washing up, plus it bakes in the oven in just 20 minutes. You could even prepare the pan the night before and leave it in the fridge then shove in the oven whilst you're in the shower. Genius.

Admittedly, you hardly need a recipe for avocado on toast. The clue is in the title. Instead plan ahead and mash up a few of the green beauties and keep in a jar to spread on toast. You can also add flavours to taste like lemon juice, chili, salt or coriander.

Frozen banana yoghurt bites

Though they require some ahead planning, these banana bites are an amazing source of vitamin and fibre and help curb sugar cravings. These bites are quick to make and just require 2 hours of freezing. Make up a batch at the beginning of the week and leave in the freezer taking out 1 or 2 every morning for a healthy and incredibly smug breakfast on the go.
