With its vintage liquors, matured cocktails and speakeasy aesthetic, 5cc is the capital’s newest old bar concept.
Tucked away inside two traditional East End pubs, the mood is somewhere between Mad Men and Sweeney Todd, with copper-top tables, low lighting, and chesterfield furnishings.
Here you can get your hands on a sip of liquid history; 5cc serve up rarities like the discontinued Booth's Gin from the 70s and the vintage Antica Formula, widely acknowledged to be the best sweet vermouth ever made.
They also offer a bespoke Forgotten Cocktail Range, mixed using aged spirits and left to mature in hand-cut perfume bottles. But you’ll have to time it right – like all the best things in life, they’re only available in very limited quantities.
Located within Exmouth Arms, Exmouth Market and The Well and Bucket on Bethnal Green Road. Open Tuesday to Sunday, 6pm until midnight.
