A dash of Cali culture in sunny Cornwall.
Cribbar, opening in Newquay, Cornwall, is a surf-inspired bar that takes its name in homage to the town’s legendary big wave. But this Cribbar is less about the challenge of the ride and more about lounging in the afterglow.
Designed by Absolute, the people behind Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Cornwall, Cribbar brings a bit of style to the surf culture of Newquay. Teams from famed surf magazines Carve and Surfgirl were also brought in to help develop the concept.
Mounted screens feature local swell charts and surf contests while still images from British history book The Surfing Tribe are screen-printed on white tiling.
Even if you’re not one for colourful and 'quirky' interiors the solid cast concrete bar selling local Cornish beers and ciders should bring you on board.
