The Drink | Jack's New Brew

The Drink | Jack's New Brew

It's been 10 years since Jack Daniel's has given us a new drink to sip on. Now, the Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey will be the base for a new brew, Tennessee Honey.

Blended with a honey liqueur, you'll find it offers the familiar warm flavours of charcoal, caramel and vanilla but slightly sweetened for a fresher taste.

How to Drink It:

This is a drink to serve chilled - sit it on the same shelf as your Pimms and your mojito ingredients. As the following two recipes from mixologist Ian McClaren show that it’s primed for a variety of tangy mixes.

1 Manhattan Sting

Tennessee Honey fits right in with summer drinking in the shape of this Manhattan Sting. In classic New York style, serve in a martini glass.

Ingredients
50 ml Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey
25 ml Martini Rosso
2 dashes Angostura Bitters

Method
Stir over cubed ice and strain
Garnish with a cherry/orange twist

2 Honey Julep

A sweet twist on an all-time classic. Serve in an old-fashioned julep glass.

Ingredients
50 ml Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey
10 ml Gomme Syrup
6 mint leaves
Crushed ice

Method
Gently press the Gomme Syrup and mint leaves together
Add Tennessee Honey
Half fill with crushed ice and churn
Refill with the top
Top off the ice and garnish with mint
