In these uncertain times hope comes to us in the news that Greggs are launching a delivery service to get those stodgy wonderful pastries right to your door.
The bakery chain hailing from the North of England are trialling the service in Newcastle and hope to expand it across the country if a success. The lucky guinea pigs due to first taste delivered perfection are workers at Cobalt Business Park in North Tyneside, a 14,000 strong workforce. Workers will be able to get sandwiches, salads and, most importantly, sausage rolls for same day delivery straight to their office door.
The next trial locations are apparently London and Manchester, undoubtedly a move that will instantly push Deliveroo and Uber Eats out of business. Who wants a Malaysian chicken panang broth when you can have a steak bake? Just think of the possibilities.
