If you agree with us that Japanese katsu curry is a food of the gods, you'll be glad to know that Soho eaterie Satsuma has reopened as a specialist katsu curry restaurant.
After a summer re-fit incorporating futuristic pods as well as open-plan tables, the new menu offers 14 Japanese katsu curries including chicken, salmon, soft shell crab, aubergine and spicy beef. As well as the classic sticky rice, you can also opt for udon or soba noodles to go with it.
As you'd hope from a niche like this, the chicken katsu we tried is up there with the best in the neighbourhood. And, believe us, we've tried a few.
