Over a third said they would ban anchovies if they could, with olives and tuna ranked in second and third place on the 'toppings you would most like get rid of' list.

Pizza preferences were found to differ between men and women, too. Men are much more likely than women to like meat, chillies and jalapenos on their pizza, while women favour healthy options like spinach.

Of course, these results have proved to be divisive on Twitter.

Just another reminder that the politics of pizza is highly controversial.
