Fried chicken is going to be celebrated in all its glory at a food festival in London later this summer.

Although we can't confirm whether the chicken connoisseur will be making an appearance (or a crep check), one thing is for sure: there'll be more fried chicken than you can get your mouth around, and it's going to be brilliant.

The Evening Standard say Kings Cross is going to be overrun with tasty meaty treats in just a few weekends time, when street food masters Kerb bring London's best chicken friers together for a day of delights.

Eight 'bird bosses' will hit up Granary Square alongside live bands, craft beer and a mojito bar, as well as sundaes and sweet bites from South East Cakery on Friday May 5 and Saturday May 6.

As for the chicken specialists involved? Mother Clucker, Other Side Fried, Bill or Beak, Killa, Daja Chicken, Only Jerkin', Petare and Mother Flipper will be showing off their skills - all you have to do is attempt to taste 'em all.
