Tuesday Afternoon Cocktail Club

Did you miss us yesterday? Due to illness (not alcohol-related, we promise) Monday Morning Cocktail Club was required to disband for a day, but fear not you eager imbibers, we're back, and this time, we've got a message.

Considering the way things are going out Korea way, we're feeling a little fearful for our futures here at Esquire HQ. So with that in mind, we're kicking back and drinking to peace - and how better than with the "world peace cocktail".

Cooked up by master mixologist Jonathan Pogash for New York's World Bar - which is appropriately located opposite the city's United Nations base - the bright blue gin-based cocktail is an ideal way to ease the world's woes. Here's how to cook one up yourself.

Ingredients -
50 ml Bombay Sapphire gin
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 splash elderflower syrup
2 drops Blue Curacao liqueur
2 drops almond syrup

Method -
Place all the liquid ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well, and strain into a chilled martini glass.
