Reasons to be cheerful in January No 312 & 313

Sushinho, possibly one of London’s most unusual fusion restaurants (Brazilian cuisine meets Japanese – which, largely, works) is attempting to put a little joy into your January with its selection of guilt-free cocktails.

And, while usually we would advocate the full-fat, full-flavour versions, there are still enough New Year resolutions kicking around the office to make these low-cal drinks seem like the oasis in the desert of an otherwise dry month. 312-314 King's Road, London SW3

Cucumber Sour (146cal)
Ingredients 3 slices of cucumber, 12.5ml Hendricks Gin, 12.5ml Midori, 20ml egg white, sweetener, splash fresh lemon juice, splash fresh lime juice, cucumber slice to garnish

Cherry Tea Martini (94cal)
Ingredients 1tsp green tea, *tsp cherry water, 1 drop cherry bitters, 5ml Campari, 10ml vodka, 25ml water, cherry and mint to garnish
Method Shake all the ingredients together and double-strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a cherry and a tiny mint sprig.

Method: Muddle the cucumber and sweetener together. Add all the other ingredients and shake with ice. Pour into a rocks glass and garnish with cucumber
