Thanks to the arrival of Shake Shack and Five Guys, burgers have been big news in London this summer.
But before the capital gets too carried away congratulating its self, here's a reminder that in world of beef patties, New York will always be one step ahead.
Debuting at the Brooklyn Smorgasburg food festival to wild reviews this week was the ramen burger, which as you may have deduced from the bizarrely mouth-watering image above, consists of a familiar hunk of cow top and tailed by ramen noodles instead of the traditional bun.
The creation, by chef Keizo Shimamoto, is then finished off with a shoyu sauce, rocket and spring onions.
