Following up his Very Berry cocktail, Gerry Calabrese tackles a weird and wonderful concoction

Willy Wonka's Sherbet Pop

Sure, the skies have dulled and the mercury has dropped – but autumn doesn't need to be all doom and gloom. Have a go at making this weird (and wonderful) concoction which, in a playful twist, is complete with popping candy and sherbet dip. Trust us: the sweetness is balanced with some fantastic citrus notes to give plenty of punch and a truly unique drinking experience.

Ingredients

15ml lemon juice
15ml cherry syrup
15ml lemon sherbet
dash of sugar syrup
50ml bombay 
 

Method

1. Mix the lemon juice, cherry syrup
2. Shake and strain into a martini glass
3. Garnish with the popping candy on the rim,cherry and mint spring (Best served with no ice.)
