Earlier this week Esquire editor Alex Bilmes and RAKE founder Clive Darby (straight from the brand’s AW 14 show) were at BAFTA to host a party to mark both another successful London Collections: Men and the second issue of Esquire's Big Black Book.
In honour of classic British style, the drink of choice was a classic Gin and Tonic, made with Tanqueray London Dry Gin. We spoke to Tristan Stephenson, co-owner of Purl and Worship Street Whistling Shop – about the art of making the perfect G&T.
Here's how to do it:
1 | Fill a Copa glass to the top with cubed ice; this helps your drink chill quickly and remain colder for longer.
2 | Place a lime wheel on top of the ice to pour Tanqueray London Dry Gin through it, to bring a real fresh, zesty flavor.
3 | Follow with a small bottle of premium tonic water: Fever-Tree tonic is clean and subtle choice and complements the crispness of the gin. Make sure the tonic is fresh to ensure it is fully carbonated.
4 | Take a fresh lime wedge and run it round the rim of the glass and drop into the drink, then enjoy!
