Nothing says “man” like the ability to expertly serve up a prime cut of steak. Luckily, for those who don’t know their well done from their medium rare, help is at hand - London’s JW Steakhouse, one of the capital's meccas of meat, is launching a new masterclass this June.
The group event, which involves expert tuition from Head Chef Paul Hallett (pictured below), will consist of a presentation of the steakhouse’s finest meats, an explanation of the various cuts in its impressive portfolio from Charterhouse to Tomahawk Ribeye and advice on techniques to serve it up at home.
The good news is that after this stomach-rumbling display, you won’t have to go home hungry. The evening continues with a full three-course meal, including a choice of JW Steakhouse signature starters (the crab cakes are hard to beat), samples of the various steaks on offer (there are many), followed by desserts. It might be an idea to wear those elasticated trousers.
The Steak Master Class is priced at £90 per person (exclusive of wines and service) for a minimum of 6 people and a maximum of 8 people. For more information, contact JW Steakhouse on +44 (0)20 7399 8460 or visit jwsteakhouse.co.uk
