Superbad director Greg Mottola follows up his Judd Apatow-backed classic with a less raucous and more reflective take on coming of age, Adventureland, out this Friday. Based on his own experiences of a post-college summer job in a Long Island theme park - "the worst job I’d ever had, working in a booth where people shoot water into a clown’s mouth", Motolla describes the film as being about "the worst summer ever turning into one of the most transformative experiences of your life". It's subtly done but with an angsty approach more reminiscent of Mottola's directorial debut The Daytrippers, so don't expect Superbad 2. Here's an exclusive clip.
