Perched on top of one of the highest building's in Milan's Piazza Del Duomo, The Cube is a pop-up restaurant with a difference.
The semi-transparent structure, measuring in at a cosy 140sqm, is open from now until April 26th, during which time a rota of award-winning chefs will be showcasing their talents for lunch and dinner, and will also be on hand to discuss their menu with guests.
When dinner is served a concealed dining table will drop from the ceiling to seat guests before being raised again for after dinner drinks and mingling. With just 18 seats, it's going to be intimate, but at least you'll have the view to talk about if conversation lags.
The concept is the handiwork of Swedish brand Electrolux, supplier of pro cooking appliances to 50% of the world's Michelin-starred restaurants. Clearly booking is essential, with seats released every Monday at 8am GMT to allow for reservations three weeks in advance. Just be warned, set dinner is €250.
