Good news for fans of fine dining.
TripAdvisor has revealed the winning restaurants from its 2016 Travellers' Choice Awards and the UK is the only country to have three listed in the world top 10.
Raymond Blanc's Belmond Le Manoir Aux Quat'Saisons in Oxfordshire did particularly well in the awards, which were based on millions of TripAdvisor reviews. The Oxfordshire restaurant was rated the fourth best in the world, thanks to its "superb" seasonal food and "excellent service," and the country mansion also topped the list of the UK-based winners.
Alain Roux's Waterside Inn in Bray came seventh in the world rankings while Adam's in Birmingham, opened by Michelin star-winning chef Adam Stokes in 2013, claimed ninth place.
As for the world's number one restaurant? You'll need to travel to Spain to enjoy a meal there. For the second year in a row, the top spot went to Basque chef Martin Berasategui, who runs his eponymous restaurant in Lasarte-Oria, a small town near San Sebastián. According to one review, Berasategui's innovative menu is "culinary poetry."
