We thought the Mclaren MP4-12C was our new favourite supercar. Then we saw the Spider.
Yes, just as we settled on Mclaren's awesome new 12C as the car of the year, they go and announce this convertible version. If we had £190,000 to spend it would be one tough decision.
With the same lightweight, high powered engine generating 616 bhp and unique carbon ‘MonoCell’ chassis, the 12C Spider makes use of a unique Retractable Hardtop folding roof system that can be operated while on the move.
"12C Spider owners will love the opportunity to lower the roof and hear the unhindered howl of a V8 twin turbo engine at full throttle," says Mclaren MD Antony Sheriff.
Available to order now, with deliveries coming in November, the Spider is capable of life-changing 3.1 seconds with the roof down.
