A new Aston Martin for £25,000? Sounds like a bargain. One thing you might want to know first though - it doesn't actually have an engine.

What the new Aston Martin One-77 cycle does have is a high-grade carbon-fibre frame, a proven Shimano Di2 shift system and a unique twin vein frame design. We could go on. Oh, and it's got bespoke leather-trimmed carbon-fibre handlebars.

But where that price tag starts to make a bit more sense is with its motorsport-derived data-logging system, that must make it one of the most hi-tech bikes ever to hit the road.

Sensors embedded in the rear wheel and crank are rigged up to the onboard computer, allowing the rider’s progress (speed, ambient temperature, cadence, and calculated sensor inputs such as rate of climb and rider power) to be constantly monitored and stored on the back lit, high-contrast touch screen display which is embedded into the unique carbon fibre handlebars.

Let's just say you better know what you're doing if you hit the daily commute in one of these.

Made in England and limited to just 77 pieces worldwide, the One-77 Cycle launches on 12th July 2012.
