Following on from their one-off Aston Martin DB9 Spider Zagato Centennial and the DBS Coupe Centennial in 2013, Italian coachbuilders Zagato celebrate their 95th year with the release of their third Aston Martin customisation, the Virage Shooting Brake.

Commissioned by a European customer who requested “an atelier-level, collectible modern car”, the Virage Shooting Brake is based on the now discontinued Virage model and takes its aesthetic inspirations from the 1980s and the Aston Martin V8 Vantage and Volante, (as seen in the tapering curve of the roof) housing a 6.0 litre V12 engine.

The Shooting Brake influence can be seen at the angular rear-end of the car, while rounded, double exhaust pipes and re-shaped red tail lamps complete the updated-retro look.

Sadly, as the Virage Shooting Brake was a specially-commissioned vehicle, you won't find it at your local Aston dealer any time soon. Be happy with these incredible photos.
