The new Nikon D3200 is an “entry-level DSLR” — your first proper, I’m-taking-this-photography-lark-seriously-now camera. But, looking at the specs on this thing, you’d never think it was for beginners.
There’s a 24.2MP sensor, and the Expeed 3 image processor (the same one in Nikon’s D4 range), produces clear images with colour reproduction and Full HD movie capture.
But the “beginner” part also has an update of “Guide Mode”, which takes you through the process so that any Luddite can quickly get up to speed. One of the tutorials shows you how to get the best picture of a sunset by tweaking the white balance.
All of this in a lightweight (505g) body with dedicated buttons for the features such as Live View.(£560, body only, Nikon)
