There's new iPhone 8 news, and some of it's notgreat.
First bit of not great news: Reliable tech blogs Mac Otakara and the Royal Bank of Canada report that there's most likely going to be a delay in the release time. Mac Otakara says the phone won't ship until the first quarter of fiscal 2018, which would mean October to November.
"Based on incremental supply chain data points that suggest a more pronounced OLED iPhone delay...we think the flagship device may not see initial shipments until October with volume shipments not occurring until the November/December timeframe," said Royal Bank of Canada analyst Amit Daryanani.
Another downer: It looks like we'll no longer be able to get it in white.
Finally, the blogs report that the Touch ID feature is most likely cancelled, because it won't be on the power button and the chance of its inclusion in-screen is slim. It's possible/rumoured that the Touch ID would be replaced with a facial recognition technology called 'Face ID'.
But that's not the worst — as Forbes reports, the iPhone 8 could cost as much as $1,400 (£1,066). That at least leaves you plenty of time to start saving.
