A study by HSS Hire has revealed - somewhat inevitably, considering you're probably reading this at work right now - that we are only productive for 3 days of the week

They also found that when the temperature creeps up, that drops to just 2 and a half days. The research measured 2,000 office employees and measured their productivity levels and also looked into the most disrupting factors at work.

Unsurprisingly, sleeping badly came out on top, closely followed by the temperature being too high in the workplace and also sitting near a distracting colleague. 

What was more interesting was that boredom, hunger and a hangover came out lower on the list of distracting factors, though they all still made top 10.

A spokesman for HSS Hire commented that: 

"The results show the wide range of factors affecting our ability to perform at work day in day out.The findings also highlight to some degree how our personal well-being – not being too hot, getting enough sleep and so on – really makes a difference to how productive we are."

Time to ask your boss if you can cut down to 3 ultra-air conditioned days a week then?
