In case you're training for a multi-million pound fight any time soon, the diet of Floyd Mayweather may be worth a quick look given how the boxer came out on top this weekend.

His chef J Santiago told TMZ that the fighter ate the same meal every day in the lead up to the fight against Conor McGregor.

And given the extreme amount of protein he was packing into his diet, it seems sensible rather than a case of him being superstitious.

Every day Mayweather was consuming meals which included eggs, home fries, grits, bacon, turkey sausage and ham. But his favourite dish of all was the bastardised Italian dish of Spaghetti Bolognese, which he ate nearly every day in the run up to his fight.

The Instragram account of chef J Santiago also reveals that she cooks up other protein heavy dishes such as sautéed shrimp, BBQ chicken, egg white omelettes and steak and eggs.

The good life eh? Just remember being repeatedly punched in the face comes with the job.
