1 | Cleanse your liver

We've all had that startling realisation that we've not gone a day without a drink in months. Now, you could go teetolal, annoying every friend you've got. 

Or, alternatively, you could just eat half a grapefruit with your breakfast.

The fruit's vitamin C and antioxidants give your liver the equivalent of a good scrub, getting you back to your pre-breakfast shandy state.

2 | Move your workout

Make time to train in the morning, before breakfast.

3 | Drink lemon water

Squeezing the juice of half a lemon into warm water every morning is one of the easiest things you can do to improve your health.

4 | Be a matcha man

5 | Relax (without booze)

Again, you'll let your liver chill a bit, as well as consuming fewer calories in a day – meaning less body fat and more muscle definition. 

6 | Don't over do it at the gym

If you've had a break fitness wise don't go overboard. Use half as heavy weights, and train to half your old maximum.

If you try to set records, you'll probably injure yourself and get put out of action.

So leave the ego at home, and save the hard stuff for when you've got your fitness back up to speed.
