If you have a job in London that requires a commute, then you will understand the dull humidity, cramped carriages and thinly veiled, yet oddly passive aggressive fury that comes with navigating the tube system.

But now, thanks to this illustration, you can see just which lines and stations you should be avoiding to make your commute almost bearable.

Oliver O'Brien, a researcher at UCL, took data from TfL to see which parts of the day the most people were crowding the tube network (8:15-8:30 and 17:00-17:15, you're welcome) and has turned it into an oddly lulling illustration called 'pulse'.
